Mark Latham's chances of picking up Adelaide seats in anywhere but the Port Adelaide area evaporated after he was pictured in various papers wearing a Port Adelaide supporter's scarf while kicking a football.
Wearing the scarf was obviously suggested by a Liberal spy. Latham, being from Sydney, would not have known that 90% of Adelaidians support the the Crows, not Port. Just because Port are in the finals doesn't alter this fact; expect Latham to photographed in a Crows jumper during his next outing.

10% of the population of South Australia love the Power (nee Port Adelaide Magpies), the other 90% of the State hate them with a passion that truely defies belief.
That said, they aren't all mad Crows fans either. SA's love their local footy and would happily show their support for their district team rather than split loyalities and follow either the Crows or the Power.
I never really understood this until a few SA's explained their deep seeded hatred of anything Port Adelaide.
I guess the Melb equiv is Collingwood where children who are picking their first team to support learn their ABC's. (anyone but collingwood). And the way Port has played finals in years past the resemblance to the modern day Port is striking......!
Politically though, what really worries me was a Sky News poll yesterday where 78% of voters support Pauline Hansen's return to politics.
I believe Power, when they were part of the SANFL, were also the Magpies, so the Collingwood allusion is apt.
As for Pauline .... just when you think she's been consigned to the dustbin of political history .....
She couldn't possibly come back. Could she??
Yep!!
From Yahoo this morning!
The Sunday Mail poll found the former One Nation leader, who will stand as an independent for the October 9 federal election, has the support of one in five Queensland voters.
Oh boy!
