If this attack was caused by Australian involvement in Iraq, how do you explain the Bali bombings, which happened well before we sent troops to Iraq?

I agree that these terrorists don't like our lifestyle. But we have increased our exposure to this type of incident by participating in the stupid Iraq adventure.

The true agenda of fundamentalist Islam is to conquer the democratic western countries by both gradual infiltration and social unrest. It happened in Europe, and is happening at present in Canada, where Muslims are trying to have sharia law included in the Canadian legal system.

All the so-called root causes, like 'US aggression', revenge for the Crusades, ridding the 'holy Muslim lands' of 'infidels' are all excuses - the true agenda is replacement of the Christianity and secular humanism of the West with Islam.
